STUDENTS
If your study hall (not study lab) falls at the beginning or end of the Semester Exam schedule, your parents may call you in to be late or leave early. This also applies to those students who have earned an exemption for a semester exam.

Gang Green is pleased to announce a special event this Saturday during the Boys BB game vs. RB. They will be hosting a "Silent Night" during the game. You need to come to the game dressed in either your Gang Green shirt or something Christmas. We will sit silently until the Hornets score ten points...once they hit that number....you will go crazy, etc. See Courtney Martin, Matt Schaidle or Jesika McCaddon for details. Don't forget to stop by and get your shirt in the Hornets Nest. $5.00 each.

"The Children's Library at the Eureka Public Library would like to thank Mrs. Willi and the following NHS members for helping to "move" the Children's Library in order to replace the carpet. Thanks go to Andrew Zimmerman, Derek Stoller, Katie Haerr, Kyle Silverthorn, Emily Williams, Lauren Schwanke, Gabrielle Boisseau and Branden Bill. Also thanks to Cameron Chioni for volunteering, library staff member Katie Wiegand for extra work and Grant Cuffe for getting us connected with NHS. We couldn't have done it without them -- literally."

In the event that there is a snow day tomorrow, Semester Exams are still scheduled for Thursday & Friday. If there is a snow day on one of the scheduled Semester Exam days, the schedule will be pushed back one day.

TEACHER ASSISTANT
If you are interested in being a Teacher's Assistant next semester, you need to pick up an application in Mr. Wherley's office. You must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Mr. Wherley will assign you to the area of most need. Once Freshmen grades are established, you will be qualified to TA as well. If you are currently a TA, you will remain with that teacher even if your schedule changes. If you do not maintain a 2.5 GPA, you will be sent to study hall.

Teachers: Just a reminder to fill out a Teacher's Assistant request. Don't sign a student's form until asked by Mr. Wherley.

SOPHOMORES

Due to scheduling conflicts and impending foul weather, the Chorale Christmas Party for this evening has been postponed to Thursday, January 10 from 5:30-8pm. Sorry for the inconvenience. Excellent job last night, by the way. :)

MUSICAL
The musical callback list is located outside of Mrs. O'Donnell's room (112) and the auditorium. If your name is on the list, please come to the auditorium tonight at 3:30 for a callback audition. You will be given additional material to read/sing at that time. If there is a conflict please let Mrs. O know ASAP. Thanks!

FCA
The annual FCA Christmas party is THURSDAY morning in Mr. Streit's room, 301. Come anytime from 8-9 to fill your bellies before your first final exam.

NHS
If you are not going to be able to sell all of your chocolate, please return it to Miss Zeller right away!

All Christmas gifts for the Children's Home need to be turned in to either Mrs. Willi or Ms. Zeller by tomorrow (Wednesday). They should be wrapped with a note on the outside that identifies who it is for and what it is.

HISTORY CLUB/STUDENTS OF HISTORY
Unfortunately, Dec. 30th is a Tuesday and the Freedom Museum is not open on Tuesdays so we will have to cut that from our trip. However, the Museum of Science and Industry is open--General Admission is $13. If you want to attend their Omnivax Theater (Shows: The Grand Canyon or the Wild Ocean), your ticket price will be $20. You will also need money for lunch and possibly supper. A sign-up sheet is outside room 205, Ms. Bertschi's room. Place your name and telephone number on the sheet and get a permission sheet, which you will need to bring along on Dec. 30th. See Ms. Bertschi if you have any questions and All are welcome--including parents and students who are not in History Club!

SPEECH
Come to room 303 to pick up your newsletter and to sign up for working the Orthopedic Parking lot this Friday, to sell candy bars and raisins, and to enter into the Canton Speech Tournament on January 10.

WRITER'S CIRCLE
Writers Circle meets today after school in Ms. Blunier's room. See you there!

BOYS SWIMMING
Today's meet with Woodruff is cancelled. The boys will meet at 3:45 p.m. in the EHS weight room for practice.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
The U-High girls game that was cancelled last night will be played tonight at Eureka College. The jv game will start at 5:00. Please come out and support the girls. JV girls need to report to the college at 4:15.

BASEBALL
We will be having Open Gyms before school at 7:00 on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Additionally, stop by Mr. Miller's classroom to get a schedule of Open Gyms for X-mas break, January and February.

SOFTBALL
Any girls who missed this morning's meetings that want information on the Christmas party, see Coach Stromberger.
